Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma/degree in Environmental Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, or related field.
• Knowledge and experience in handling / operating of field and laboratory equipment for sampling and analysis works.
• Knowledge and experience in analysis procedure as per the international standard.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in conducting laboratory tests and environmental monitoring preferably in oil & gas
industry.
• Familiarization with oil & gas industries environmental monitoring is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of water quality, biochemistry and chemical reactions.
• Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions related to using chemicals and to performing tests on potential hazardous
substances.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment & instruments and their safe & effective use.
• Ability to write routine reports and use basic software such as MS Word, Excel, Access and LIMS.
• Ability to calibrate and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Ability to communicate well orally and in writing.
• Ability to perform field inspections/sampling.
• Ability to work effectively with others and to be flexible in work assignments.
• Good inter-personal skills.
• Good data interpretation and compilation skills.
• Good investigation skills.

Primary purpose of job

To provide the necessary technical assistance in sampling, analysis and environmental monitoring as per the environmental monitoring plan to achieve the Operating Permit conditions as well as other regulatory and management systemrequirement.
