Qualification & Experience:
  • High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 5 years of job-related experience OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience.
  • Holding valid Aircraft Maintenance License endorsed with at least one (1) aircraft type issued by NAA or QCAA.
  • EASA Part 147 Certificate of Recognition for Theory and Practical issued by a training organization for a type training course successfully completed on at least one (1) aircraft type operated by Qatar Airways
  • English Language proficiency level should at the minimum be equivalent to the Bl level as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for language (CEFR)
  • Completion of a “Train the trainer” course
  • Completion of a “Train the assessor” course
  • Evaluation of Practical training and OJT programs
  • Assess trainee’s performance
  • Command of English language and communication
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop trainees’ skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for development, review and update practical training record books to develop necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes required for maintenance staff.
  • Conduct assessments on trainee’s performance to ensure trainees have acquired required competencies upon completion of the training. Evaluate and measure trainee progress and recommend for additional training, if required.
  • Conduct OJT programs in accordance with the requirements stipulated in EASA/QCAR regulations to ensure trainees have acquired required knowledge, skills and attitudes before applying to first aircraft type endorsement.
  • Involved in maintenance activities ensuring dispatch of aircraft after maintenance as scheduled.
  • Maintain instructor/practical assessor qualifications in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Identify training issues and propose improvements to training supervisor to improve training standards. Complete accurate training records in training management system achieving efficient processing of training certificates.
  • Be current with the latest modifications and other regulatory/operational procedures to enhance course delivery and course ware.
  • Timely execution of all assigned job tasks/ special projects to ensure continues development & sustainability of continued operation of technical department.
  • Support training administration team in all training operation related activities including completion of training documentation and logbooks for issuance of training certificates in timely manner.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department
