Knowledge Skills & Experience:

• High School/ Vocational Qualification/ Diploma or Equivalent/ Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 3 years of tour guiding experience
• Proficient in both written and spoken English language.
• Must have travel and tourism experience and background
• Must have experience in a customer facing role
• Must be a good team member, well-groomed, and sociable
• Computer literacy is a must

Preferred

• Having a valid Qatar Tour Guide License is an advantage.
• Possess factual knowledge of Qatar history, geography, growth and development
• Preferably to be fluent in one of the following languages: (French, Spanish, Portuguese, German or Russian)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Escorting individuals or groups to tour site locations, provide information about the history and culture of the places they visit and answer customers inquiries related to the attractions.
• Resolve any problem with itineraries and deal with customer complaints in a solution-oriented manner to ensure smooth tour operations and customer satisfaction.
• Act as ambassador of the Discover Qatar and present the country in a professional way, delivering incentive and familiarization trips to the customers and tourists and represent DQ and Qatar through maintaining a professional and friendly mannerism while dealing with clients.
• Create contingency plans to follow in case of cancellation, closures or weather change that impede on the progress of the tour in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Making sure that the group follows and adheres laws and regulations to ensure full compliance with the local authorities.
• Report all service delivery failings and Customers’ feedback to Discover Qatar and provide tour report by the end of each assigned tour to support improvement plans of DQ QRH services.
• Assist with scheduling stops and boarding during excursions and accommodate special requests from individuals within the group with physical or health limitations that should be considered prior and during the tour.
• Work with management to develop new tour routes based on the site visitors have expressed interest in.
