Qualification & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (Degree in engineering, computer applications, commerce, or business administration).
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with minimum 3 years proven experience on domain driven design and microservices architecture.
  • Experience in Software Development Life Cycle including working in Agile Development methodologies like Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe
  • Knowledge of DevOps, DevSecOps methodologies and Software Quality Assurance processes;
  • Expertise in area(s) of Solution Architecture, Enterprise Integration patterns and software design and development
  • Expertise in Product and Solution Design of Large-scale applications
  • Expertise in Large and Critical System Product Production Support and Problem Solving
  • Ability to create system roadmaps based on business goals.
  • Ability to recognize industry technology trends and emerging technologies, understands how they apply to different units in QR
  • Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
  • Ability to lead a diverse group of project stakeholders and members towards successful delivery of a project.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for IT solution architecture design, that meets the business requirements. Activities involve creating solution architecture blueprints for the assigned system, work program prioritization, define standards for design and development, review requirements, including Non-functional requirements, solution review and risk management across projects/programs, to ensure timely delivery with quality and within budget.

This position also plays a key role in driving innovation; create a digital strategy for the Line of Business and aligning business and IT strategy to ensure that everyone is aligned, in defining and implementing technical solutions for business problems.

  1. Designing Technical Solutions:
    • Responsible for designing practical end-to-end technical solutions aligned with the business strategy and objectives of the Line of Business (LOB).
    • Collaborate with Solution Architects from other LOBs to identify synergies, adopt common tools, and standardize technologies across the organization.
  2. Governance and Compliance:
    • Contribute to the development of architecture governance structures, methodologies, and compliance activities within the organization.
  3. Delivering Artefacts:
    • Deliver Solution Architecture artefacts, including reviewing Functional and Non-functional requirements, Technical Architecture, Interface specifications, and high-level design documents.
  4. Decomposition and Microservices:
    • Break down complex application requirements using functional decomposition and Domain Driven Design.
    • Identify Microservices and define APIs for different domains.
  5. Guidance and Communication:
    • Provide strategic guidance to development teams, ensuring alignment with business goals.
    • Drive communication plans to educate stakeholders on the purpose and benefits of solution architecture.
  6. Innovation and Proof of Concepts:
    • Plan and execute proof of concepts to demonstrate feasibility, complex solutions, and cutting-edge technologies.
    • Drive innovation to create value for the business and customers.
  7. Collaboration and Interfaces:
    • Collaborate with external 3rd party suppliers and internal IT teams to design and implement robust solutions and interfaces between applications.
  8. System Design and NFRs:
    • Ensure system designs are manageable, maintainable, scalable, resilient, sustainable, and cost-effective while meeting business requirements.
    • Verify thorough testing of Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  9. Production Readiness and Root Cause Analysis:
    • Review production readiness before application release.
    • Lead root cause analysis of critical incidents in operational production systems and recommend preventive actions.
  10. Technical Strategies and Risk Mitigation:
    • Apply relevant technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices across programs/projects and products.
    • Anticipate project issues and risks, working with the team to identify and implement solutions or mitigations.
