Qualification & Experience:

Context / Special Features / Challenges – Minimum of 20 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, with at least 10 years’ experience on conducting Geophysical risk assessment related to studies/operations. – Very strong experience in 2D/3D seismic interpretation of carbonate reservoirs in Middle East region, seismic attributes analysis and seismic characterization with different inversion technics. – Good knowledge of carbonate geology/structural geological principles. – Strong knowledge of borehole seismic acquisition, processing, and interpretation. – Strong experience in seismic processing applying new technologies in PreSDM processing. 4D technic experience is a real plus. – Have good knowledge of Reserves calculation and the economic aspects of a project. – Must have strong teamwork skills. Experience working in a multicultural environment is a plus. – Experience working in integrated asset team environment. – Must be able to communicate effectively with peers, less experienced staff, field staff, and management. – Must have good experience/knowledge of Petrel and other current computer software for geophysical applications. – Advanced degree will be a plus. Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Experience – Minimum of a BSc in Geophysics is required. – OpenWorks/ R5000 – Petrel

Principal Accountabilities – Perform detailed seismic interpretation and mapping of carbonate reservoirs architecture and hydrocarbon distribution for input to 3D geological models including seismic attributes and AVO analysis. – Construct seismic velocity models and capable of carrying out different technics in time-depth conversion and /or quality check of velocity model building results. – Provide steer to projects related to the acquisition, processing and reprocessing of seismic data by third parties. – Monitor and supervise work compliance by Geophysical service providers and contractors and QA/QC Geophysical data such as seismic reprocessed data, 4D seismic reprocessed data and 3D VSP data of geophysical studies conducted by third parties. – Perform a detailed geo-hazard analysis when needed for well planning using available seismic data and contribute to well proposals / prognosis. – Recommend, plan, design and quality check the results from acquisition and processing of borehole seismic data: Zero offset VSP, 3D VSP and Offset VSP. – Prepare work plans/schedules within limits defined by Heads. – Develop Geophysical standards and workflows. – Provide on-the-job coaching and development of Qatari staff.
