Qualification & Experience:
·Previous high-end culinary experience.
·Must be well organized and used to working in a multi-tasking environment.
·Basic knowledge or the ability to operate computer equipment.
·Must be able to stand for the scheduled shift.
·Require reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language, second languages beyond that would be an asset.
·Ability to work effectively under pressure and teamwork.
·Strong organizational and self-guided multi-tasking skills.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Must demonstrate high standards of professionalism and have a passion for providing a unique and delicious culinary experience for the guests.
- Create new and exciting desserts to renew hotels menus and engage the interest of customers
- Maintain control systems that will assure quality and portion consistency, monitor food shipments to ensure they meet established purchasing specifications and foster an awareness of the importance of food preparation and quality.
- Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments
- Must have prior experience in high-volume operations and contribute to the creative process in all outlets by challenging his superiors and peers
- Coordinate the selection, training, development, and evaluation of employees through effective management and leadership to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
- Assists in the development of new dishes and restaurant menus. Ensure strict maintenance of food and personal hygiene standards in the department. Adheres to food cost targets. Consistently monitors the quality of ingredients; assists in purchasing and receiving of food stuff; ensures optimum storage and rotation of raw materials.
- Interacts with guests in a personal manner and creates special dining experiences
- Individuals who have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, are able to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation, and can evidence having a solid work ethic, good business acumen and a passion for service.
- Support executive chef in administrative roles to establish high revenue streams and profitability in all outlets.
- Must possess a positive attitude and have the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with co-workers efficiently and effectively
