Qualification & Experience:
• Minimum 1 – 2 years in a similar role.
• Effectively communicate with employees and guests
• Ability to work multiple shifts including night shift.
• Multitask and prioritize departmental functions
• Maintain confidentiality of information
• Show initiative in anticipating guest or operational needs
• Be proactive and use good judgment when dealing with challenging situations
• Good command of English Language and Arabic.
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Handle Incoming Calls, handle In-house calls.
• Taking written messages for hotel guests; transferring guests to voice mail to leave a message as well as retrieving guests’ voice messages.
• Be able to lodge guests’ requests for Wake up calls, set the console and give the wake-up call, deal with unanswered wake-up calls
• Be able to handle guest requests in terms of DND, privately registered guests, and Function room telephones.
• Be well versed in General hotel information, and knowledgeable about Speed Dial extension.
• Be able to handle security issues such as Fire alarm procedures, calling the house doctor, Bomb threats, and Guest/ Staff confidentiality.
• Assist with guest complaints
• Receive each guest call in a professional and friendly manner
• Govern overnight tasks such as daily reports for all departments and line checks, pulse control reports; and communicating guest requests to the overnight runner.
• Be able to respond to crisis situations; running the operation manually when Opera crashes and applying the contingency plan in case the switchboard crashes.
