QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in a pastry kitchen or culinary school certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of pastry techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare and present a variety of pastry items including cakes, tarts, breads, chocolates, and plated desserts.
- Follow standard recipes and presentation specifications as directed by senior pastry chefs.
- Assist in mise-en-place and set-up of the pastry station.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the pastry section, adhering to food safety standards.
- Monitor stock movement and assist in requisitioning ingredients and supplies.
- Support the team during busy operations and emergencies.
- Participate in daily briefings, training sessions, and departmental meetings.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of all pastry ingredients and products.
- Demonstrate flexibility in schedule and tasks to support uninterrupted service.
- Uphold high standards of personal grooming and kitchen etiquette.
