Senior Projects Engineer

Responsible for the planning, coordination of the startegic and refurbishment projects & monitoring the project team’s overall process and operations from conceptualization until completion within the budget’s goals, and the required deadline.

• Creating sketches for concept layout using design software
• Track the progress and quality of design being performed by design disciplines/consultants – through reports and progress meetings
• Creation of scope of works for the tendering purpose, preparation/review submitted offers, and evaluation
• Facilitate and troubleshoot issues/ Risks associated with coordinating and development, design, right-of-way acquisition, construction, and complex development projects
• Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/Consultants/Contractors – through reports and site visits
• Review and approve project specifications, including Approved layouts, drawings, as-built drawings, and associated revisions
• Review contractor’s payments and ensure compliance with the approved BOQ (Bills of Quantities) and progress on site
• Control project costs by approving expenditures, administering contractor contracts, and verifying the claims
• Act as a POC for all end users (Internal AAM Departments) and assist with the determination of project requirements & ensure end users’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Use project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, work hours, budgets and expenditures
• Prepare substantial completion letters/Memos and ensure all required project close-out documents are obtained
• Communicate ideas for improving company processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and for developing this attitude in others
• Keep the Project Manager (PM) and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations.
• Assist project manager in the planning and forecasting of budgets and timelines to assure that the project is accurately completed to schedule in a cost effective way
• Generate reports on progress/results through preparation of qualification packages and present the same to the project manager
• Manage and maintain building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety
• Participate in facility improvement projects, energy efficiency initiatives, and sustainability programs
