QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To trade in money market instrument for the bank’s accounts by executing market transactions within the limits allocated with a view to maximize profitability, risk parameters and trading guidelines.
Treasury Support – ALM & Money Market Desk
- Leverage various tools and techniques including Dynamic ALM modelling tools, economic analysis and market research to aid the ALM process.
- Implement liquidity contingency plan with Treasury-ALM function so that liquidity shortfall is avoided or minimized.
Deals and Trade
- Transact on behalf of the bank with its inter-bank counter parties based on allocated limits (Dealer/Bank/Country) to accomplish deals and trade and generate revenue.
- Quotes quick and competitive deposit rates to corporate sales desk and branches.
Market Analysis and Information Support
- Gather and update market information and suggest strategies to enhance overall profitability.
- Forecast rates and trends to identify and leverage opportunities for yielding returns.
Automation
- Work with Finance and IT (Information Technology) to ensure correct implementation of Kondor Plus (front office system) in order to support automation process for treasury function.
Relationships
- Maintain cordial relationships with other inter-bank counterparties/brokers to enhance inter-bank dealing.
- Tries to obtain new money market lines and limits for CB to fund the liquidity.
- Tries to look for new opportunities to invest the surplus with high yield.
Internal Collaboration
- Engage and collaborate with others, including loan portfolio managers, and market risk team to provide support for ALM related matters.
- Have a good communication with RM’s to forecast the future cash flow to prepare the funding plan.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international leading practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Find any gaps and fill with the required amendments.
Statements and Reports
- Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate departmental statements and reports to meet CBQ and department requirements, policies and standards.
- Develop the reports to meet the new needs.

- Ensure all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to so that the safety of employees, quality of products/services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.
