Qualifications and Experience :
- Proven track record and experience as Head of Operations and / or in relevant role
- Understanding of business functions with hands-on banking knowledge of Corporate products including Trade Finance, Treasury and Investments, KYC requirements for Corporates, etc
- Demonstrable competency in strategic planning with working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
- Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities with excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics
- Excellent communication skills
- Possess Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certifications would be an advantage.
- 15 years in a related operational field for Corporate Customers
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business administration, finance, economics or a related subject
- MBA, or other Masters level degree
Job Summary :
- A senior executive to oversee the Bank’s daily business operations and functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth. The focus will be mainly on Corporate and Institutional business but not limited to the following functions:
- Corporate Onboarding
- Credit Fulfilment and Credit Monitoring & Control
- Trade & Corporate Loan Operations
- Payments
- Treasury & Investment Operations
- Retail Collections & Recovery
- The duties also include compiling the regulatory reports with both internal and external stakeholders, implementing business strategies and optimising the organisation’s operational capabilities
- Deliver Corporate Earnings via a seamless operation execution to minimise any operational losses
- Enhance the Customer Experience by improving STP and TAT whilst supporting Business in new product implementation and enhancements
- Deliver greater Creativity and Innovation to all processes and projects to deliver the 5Cs to the Customers and Commercial Bank
- Lead and aspire a learning and creative thinking Culture within the team to escalate to other diversified roles in the organisation
- Ensure Compliance on all processes & reporting managed within Institutional Ops and comply with the Bank’s policies / Standard Operating Procedures and QCB / other regulatory policies and guidance
Key Accountabilities :
- Oversee daily Institutional Operations by designing and implementing business strategies, plans and procedures
- Set comprehensive goals and guidance for performance and growth by evaluating performance through analysis and interpretation of data metrics
- Maximise and establish policies and business efficiency to promote the Bank’s 5Cs including Corporate Earnings, Culture, Creative & Innovation and Compliance vision
- Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication and coordinate with the HR to ensure hiring plans are optimised to meet the Unit’s business needs
- Monitor daily operations and address potential issues when they arise and provide mitigants to avoid any repeat issues
- Account for the needs of external and internal stakeholders and incorporate them into new strategic plans
- Stay abreast of the developments for Institutional Ops including (1) Payments schema, (2) Trade Finance developments / products, (3) Treasury & Investment Products (both Wholesale and Retail) (4) Corporate KYC / OCDD requirements (5) Legal developments in Qatar
- Adhere to time frames as per SLA and handle any other work within the role, as assigned by the Line Manager
