Qualification & Experience:

• At least five (5) years of commercial service and maintenance experience in HVAC.
• At least three (3-5) years of experience directly maintaining and repairing Chillers
• Possess a HVAC trade License or certification

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Diagnoses, repairs, replaces, adjusts installs and monitors controls on chillers and associated components for various manufacturers, i.e. York and Carrier
• Troubleshoots and repairs chillers of all types, i.e. hermetic, scroll, centrifugal
• Repairs components and performs complex modifications of mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components; including compressors, transformer, motors, pumps, fans, piping, transducers, flow switches, variable speed drivers, etc.
• Overhaul compressor, change of major parts of Chiller.
• Do major servicing of compressor such as oil replacement, etc.
• Maintains various mechanical, electrical and electronic components, including chillers, compressors, motors, oil, pumps, fans, ducts, VAVs, VFDs, pipes, condensate, thermostats, switches etc.
• Knows how to use measurement tools to test and inspect equipment, i.e. air flow, static pressure, fluid flow, refrigerant diagnostics and temperature.
• Ensures mechanical systems are operating at peak efficiency by inspection equipment for operating efficiency.
• Can read layout from blueprints, drawings, and schematic diagram.
