Qualification & Experience:
- Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or Commis Chef in pastry, preferably in a high-end hotel or restaurant environment
- Strong understanding of pastry techniques, including plating, decorating, and baking
- A passion for pastry, desserts, and the art of baking
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and quality control
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods for all dining outlets within the hotel
- Follow and execute recipes and instructions from the Chef de Partie Pastry or Executive Pastry Chef
- Ensure that all desserts, pastries, and baked goods meet the standards for presentation, taste, and quality
- Help maintain the pastry section, ensuring it is organized, stocked, and fully equipped at all times
- Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering ingredients and supplies when necessary
- Assist with the preparation and creation of seasonal menu items, special events, and promotions
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen
- Assist in the training and development of junior pastry team members
- Contribute ideas for innovation and creativity within the pastry department
