Qualification & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a strong technical background
Minimum of 5 years in E&I field engineering, with a focus on offshore oil & gas projects. Proven experience in brownfield and greenfield integration projects is a strong advantage. Strong understanding of E&I design principles, construction methodologies, and commissioning processes. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and instrumentation diagrams, P&IDs, and control schematics. Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IEC, API, ATEX).
Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and proposing technical solutions in real-time scenarios.
This role demands a proactive individual capable of addressing technical challenges while maintaining seamless communication between offshore and onshore stakeholders, ensuring the successful integration of E&I systems in a dynamic EPCIC environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage diverse interfaces. Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Serve as the interface between the engineering and construction teams to ensure smooth execution of the project.
Monitor and resolve Electrical & Instrumentation clashes during construction & installation
Provide technical guidance and clarification to construction crews regarding E&I design and execution.
Troubleshooting & Document Management:
Identify inconsistencies, errors, or missing details in engineering and construction documentation.
Work with the engineering team to propose and implement corrections or enhancements to ensure alignment with project requirements.
Maintain and update field engineering records for transparency and traceability.
Technical Proposals:
Review field conditions and develop proposals for resolving unforeseen technical challenges.
Collaborate with engineering to develop as-built solutions or alternative methods that comply with safety, regulatory, and technical standards.
Suggest optimizations to enhance project efficiency
Collaboration & Communication:
Act as the primary point of contact for E&I issues between offshore and onshore teams.
Facilitate regular communication with construction, commissioning, and QA/QC teams to ensure alignment.
Report progress, challenges, and technical updates to project management.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure all E&I works adhere to project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Promote and practice strict adherence to HSE protocols during offshore operations.
