Job Summary:
The purpose of this role is to validate high value payment request received through various External Banks, handle escalations, ensure all controls are in place & SOP’s are flowed by self/team, train/coach people, manage a small of team of 2-3 and co-ordinate with line manager in achieving the team goals.
Key decisions having significant impact on the function are referred to the position in the authority matrix in charge, for approval before implementation.
Accountabilities:
- Perform payment related activities like Approving payments, Customer credits and managing high value payments
- Perform the Reconciliation to check all the swift payments reached to Core banking system
- Approve Standing Orders as per request received from branches.
- If any of the expected funds are not received on time, call the counter party / local bank to get the funds on time
- Inform the dealers on time about the high value payments processing
- Approve all the internal entries allocated in CBTPS/SWIFT
- Follow up with dealers for all the notified payments if in case approval not received on time
- Review the SOPs and provide updates to the team as and when required
- Ensure all payments received are processed within cut-off time and identify areas/process improvement, document them and submit to line manager. Perform UAT on process/system changes, or as required by internal policy
- Reconcile all related suspense/GL accounts in the required frequency and ensure that all receivables and payables are accounted for in the reconciliation statement. Prepare monthly proof sheets
- Perform QCB reports on time and submit for validation
- Ensure to support across FTU sub processes as in when required
- Be updated on changes to policies and regulation on payments
- If any errors happened, need to analyze the route and ensure the doesn’t happen again
