Qualification & Experience:

Minimum 6 years’ experience in operating process plant in the oil or petrochemical industry including experience as DCS Operator/ Panel Operator. Fully conversant with and competent to perform process equipment isolations according to QaterEnergy Energy Isolation procedures (Single valve, Double Block & Bleed, positive isolation)

Completion of Secondary (12 years) education followed by 3 years full time technical training in process plant operations to City and Guilds Institute First Certificate level plus relevant short courses in safety, plant operations or equivalent.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Monitor production facilities, operate production equipment and stations and carry out production/well tests with the assistance of Field Operators as directed by Senior Operator to achieve maximum recovery of oil, gas, NGL or water and gas injection in assigned area.  Carry out plant isolations as instructed by Senior Technician and perform the duties of Issuing Authority under the PTW procedure. Take responsibility for the assigned area in the event of any emergency and in the absence of Field Production Supervisor or Senior Operator as defined in the QatarEnergy Dukhan Emergency Response plan.
