QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in logistics, clearing, and forwarding operations
- Strong knowledge of customs clearance and import regulations
- Bilingual (English and Arabic)
- Proficient in ERP and logistics management systems
- Strong coordination, communication, and negotiation skills
- Valid Qatari driving license
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and oversee end to end logistics operations from supplier to final delivery.
- Plan, schedule, and track inbound and outbound shipments in line with business needs.
- Supervise receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials, equipment, and finished goods.
- Maintain accurate logistics, inventory, and shipment records.
- Ensure efficient use of logistics assets, transport, facilities, and communication channels.
- Serve as the primary logistics liaison with government authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and medical product requirements.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on all customs, clearance, and regulatory documentation.
- Coordinate with clearing and forwarding agents to ensure timely shipment release and escalate delays or performance issues
- Coordinate with Finance on logistics costs, duties, and shipment payments.
- Support inventory planning by monitoring cleared and pending shipments.
- Control logistics costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security standards across logistics activities.
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory reviews.
- Prepare shipment status updates and logistics performance reports.
- Identify process gaps and recommend operational improvements.
- Resolves clearance and delivery issues by effectively utilizing available resources.
- Coordinates with Finance and Procurement on logistics costs and vendor matters.
- Liaises with government authorities, shipping lines, transporters, and the Port Authority to ensure timely shipment clearance.
- Works with Sales to secure required government approvals and documentation.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Maintains effective relationships with clearing and forwarding agents and internal stakeholders including Supply Chain, Finance, and Sales.
- Identifies and evaluates new forwarders and clearing agents to optimize logistics costs and service performance.
