Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
    • 3-5 years of experience in public relations, preferably in the automotive industry or a similar sector.
    • Experience in media relations, drafting press materials, and supporting PR campaigns.
    • Understanding of digital and traditional media channels and how to leverage them for brand promotion.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
    • Ability to assist in the creation of PR materials, including press releases, media advisories, and social media content.
    • Familiarity with media monitoring tools and basic PR software (e.g., Microsoft Office, media tracking tools).
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Proactive and eager to learn in a dynamic, high-performance environment.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with media and other stakeholders.
    • Passion for the automotive industry and a genuine interest in promoting leading brands like Toyota and Lexus.
    • Knowledge of Qatari market dynamics and cultural nuances is a plus, but not required

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Media Relations:
    • Assist in building and nurturing relationships with local and regional media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
    • Support the development of PR calendars, press releases, media kits, and other communications materials for key initiatives and brand activities.
    • Coordinate media inquiries and interview requests, providing assistance in responding to media questions and facilitating interviews.
    • Monitor media coverage and track key stories related to the Toyota and Lexus brands.
  2. Brand Promotion:
    • Support the execution of PR campaigns and activations to promote Toyota and Lexus brands, utilizing both traditional and digital media channels.
    • Work closely with the marketing team to help integrate PR strategies into larger brand campaigns.
    • Assist in organizing media test drives, press events, product launches, and other activities that contribute to brand promotion.
  3. Corporate Communication:
    • Help craft and distribute corporate communication materials, such as press releases, speeches, and internal updates for executive leadership.
    • Ensure alignment and consistency in brand messaging across all communication materials.
    • Provide support for internal communications initiatives that reflect the company’s objectives and values.
  4. Media Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Monitor media coverage of Toyota and Lexus brands and assist in compiling reports on sentiment, trends, and overall media presence.
    • Provide recommendations based on media analysis and collaborate with senior team members to optimize PR efforts.
  5. Collaboration & Support:
    • Work closely with the PR Lead and external PR agencies to help execute PR campaigns, ensuring they are aligned with overall brand strategies.
    • Provide administrative support for all PR-related activities, including event logistics, scheduling, and tracking deliverables.
