Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in any of the following discipline(s) – Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science. • Proven track record of leading and managing IT applications implementation projects including experience with different project management methodologies. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is strongly preferred.

• 8+ years of extensive experience in IT applications analysis, development, and full life cycle management. • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage end-to-end application projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. • Proven expertise in developing, customizing, integrating, and supporting business applications, along with extensive experience in data analysis, reporting, and utilizing visualization tools. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective resolutions to minimize downtime and optimize the application performance environment. • Proven expertise in adapting to changing business requirements and technological innovations, while consistently managing priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. • Extensive experience in partnering with cross-functional teams, software vendors, and business stakeholders to accurately identify their needs and transform them into technical requirements and impactful solutions. • Having prior working experience with shipping solutions, particularly those utilized within the energy industry, would be a significant advantage. • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams

Roles and Responsibilities:

The role is responsible for leading the full life cycle management of business critical HIMS Shipping applications. This includes the analysis, design, implementation, and continuous improvement of applications to ensure they meet evolving business needs. The role also involves managing application-related projects, from requirement gathering to deployment and post-implementation support.  HIMS, or Hydrocarbon Information Management System, encompasses a highly integrated, industry-leading applications portfolio that supports the critical functions of the LNG Value Chain. The HIMS Shipping solutions facilitate seamless integration between the QatarEnergy Onshore team, ships, and operators, enabling efficient management of the LNG fleet and related functions
