Qualification & Experience:

B.Sc. relevant Engineering discipline from of a recognized University; higher degree Environmental Engineering and/or Project Management would be advantageous.

IRCA approved and registered Lead Auditor in ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems

IRCA approved and registered Lead Auditor in ISO 45001:2018 is an advantage.

Certificate and Membership of a recognized professional engineering or HSE association/institution is required.

Excellent communication and competency in the use of PC including MS office and any other relevant software.

Have good command of English, both verbal and written

Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in environmental engineering in Oil & Gas Industry with an Oil & Gas Company or Consultant/Contractor, preferably in greenfield/brownfield project’s offshore environment.

Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in health and safety management in oil and gas projects.

Experienced in management and coordination all project environmental interfaces with third parties and external authorities.

Experienced in developing and endorsing environmental/HSE specifications and participating in HSE/Environmental studies in particular of HAZID, EIA, ENVID, and other environmental (modelling/dispersion) studies.

Experienced in developing and managing HSE Risk Registers for oil and gas projects.

Experienced in incident management. Root cause analysis/investigations, follow up and reporting.

Experienced in HSE management in fabrication yard / construction site and offshore.

Experienced as a lead auditor in key and critical audits and reviews. Develop and maintain consolidated records, lessons learnt, Root Cause Analysis, etc.

Have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of environmental engineering.

Experienced in international HSE/Environmental regulatory requirements, codes, standards, industry best practices and company specifications and standards.

Experienced in developing and review Construction Environment Management Plan (CEMP), Waste Management Plan (WMP), Oil Spill Prevention and Response Plan and associated environmental procedures.

Familiar with the impact assessment of different process systems and subsystems in the surrounding onshore and offshore environment associated with drilling, construction, transportation, installation, commissioning, operations, and decommissioning.

Experienced with the assessment of environmental risks associated with decommissioning, abandonment and demolishing existing facilities, especially for offshore environment.

Proficiency on skills of effective communication and presentation

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide support to BH Field Project for processes that interface with environment and assure compliance with State of Qatar Governmental Requirements and QatarEnergy Project Management Framework.
2. Assure that health and safety processes are implemented, monitored and continuously improved throughout the project development
Responsible for the environment, health and safety engineering, associated with the offshore greenfield and brownfield scopes, and provide technical inputs to the detail engineering design, fabrication, construction, installation, and commissioning of the offshore facilities in compliance with environmental standards and regulations.
