SR. SYSTEM ENGINEER (DEVELOPMENT) – DATA SCIENTIST / DATA ANALYST (POWER BI)

Qualification & Experience:

• Minimum bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related

• field (or equivalent experience).

• Certification in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent

• experience) is preferred.

Skills:Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.Ability to effectively translate data into visually compelling and easily digestible formats.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technicalconcepts into plain language.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in SQL, Python, and other programming languages for data cleaning/wrangling, scripting, and automation. Strong expertise in Power BI for data visualization, Data cleaning (Power Query) report development, and dashboard design. Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (dimensional modeling, star schema,snowflake schema) and database technologies (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.).

Minimum 8 years of experience as a Data Scientist or similar role.

• Proven experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehouse development.

• Proven experience in building user-friendly and impactful dashboards in Power BI.

• Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and implement data models for efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis of data.

• Develop and maintain Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines to automate data

• ingestion and preparation.

• Design and build data warehouses for centralized data storage and analysis.

• Utilize Python, Jupyter Notebook, and Power BI to analyze data, identify trends, and

• develop predictive models.

• Create visually appealing and informative reports and dashboards that communicate

• insights effectively to business users.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate

• them into actionable insights.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest data science trends and technologies.

• Design and develop user-friendly and visually appealing dashboards in Power BI:

• o Utilize best practices for dashboard design, including clear hierarchy, consistent

• formatting, and intuitive navigation.

• o Select appropriate and impactful visualizations based on data types and user

• needs.

• o Incorporate interactivity features like slicers, filters, and drill-throughs for user

• exploration.

• o Ensure dashboards are optimized for various devices (desktop, mobile).

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand their dashboard requirements:

• o Conduct requirements gathering sessions and actively listen to user feedback.

• o Translate complex data into clear and actionable insights aligned with business

• objectives.

• o Prototype and iterate on dashboards to deliver user-centric solutions.
