HEAD, SALES OPERATIONS (SHIPPING) | QatarEnergy

•  Minimum least 15 years experience in commercial operations including 3 years’ in LNG operations with leading IOCs, NOCs or reputable trading companies.

• At least 2 years of managerial experience with a minimum of 3 team members

• Strong knowledge of LNG Freight Operations along with direct knowledge of various vessel types and propulsions including boil-off management systems across a global portfolio.

• Ability to leverage on functional support and provide high quality options and opinions to commercial stakeholders.

• Ability to identify risk and opportunity in complex operational circumstances.

• A key criterion is to be able to operate within a non-standard environment where the counterparty requires and expects considerable support and at the same time be able to gently introduce standardization and efficiency

• Multi-disciplinary knowledge and broad competence is required in areas such as trading, risk control, sales operations, commercial, financial, contract administration, legal, economic analysis and projects.

• Sales management and commercial operations skills must have been demonstrated in previous jobs and/or assignments, including client-relationship management.

• Excellent negotiation skills, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Top level written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Excellent client and internal stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to take fast risk-based decisions, sometimes based on limited amount of information.

Lead a team of LNG Freight Operators who manage the day-to-day freight activities operations of the QET global portfolio ensuring that contractual obligations are met. Ensure QET’s procedures and processes relating to freight are maintained and updated to efficiently deliver target volumes and to drive continuous improvement.
