Qualification & Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or Commis Chef in pastry, preferably in a high-end hotel or restaurant environment
  • Strong understanding of pastry techniques, including plating, decorating, and baking
  • A passion for pastry, desserts, and the art of baking
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and quality control
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods for all dining outlets within the hotel
  • Follow and execute recipes and instructions from the Chef de Partie Pastry or Executive Pastry Chef
  • Ensure that all desserts, pastries, and baked goods meet the standards for presentation, taste, and quality
  • Help maintain the pastry section, ensuring it is organized, stocked, and fully equipped at all times
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering ingredients and supplies when necessary
  • Assist with the preparation and creation of seasonal menu items, special events, and promotions
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen
  • Assist in the training and development of junior pastry team members
  • Contribute ideas for innovation and creativity within the pastry department
