ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (OPS ENG) – QatarEnergy

Bachelor’s in electrical engineering.

8+ years of experience in the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in oil and gas or petrochemical industries. Competent in High Voltage/Low Voltage (HV/LV) Switchgear and Ring Main Unit (RMU) design, including equipment specification and sizing. Understands the design and operational requirements of transformers, motors, generators, Motor Operated Valves (MOVs), and Electrical Overhead Travelling (EOT) Cranes, Understand Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Oversees the complete lifecycle of MoC projects, from front-end engineering design through tendering process, contract award, detail engineering procurement, construction, and commissioning. Responsible for developing and reviewing technical specifications, , and providing advanced technical support (Tier 3) to operations and maintenance teams, for electrical equipment and systems. Contributes to ensure the integrity, reliability, and efficient performance of electrical systems within the project or facility.
