Qualification & Experience:
- One+ year experience working in hotel housekeeping is considered an asset
- Strong organization skills and an eye for attention to detail
- Excellent command in English, Arabic is an advantage
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Guest Room Attendant delivers the best Rooms experience for our guests through attention to detail, ensuring all guest rooms are clean and up to standard. This role anticipates, customizes, and services guest’s needs before being asked and is knowledgeable about hotel offerings and amenities.
- Clean, dusts, and sanitizes all areas of the Guest Room (bedroom, living room, dining room and bathroom) according to procedure
- Performs Room Attendant duties in occupied rooms and check-out rooms
- Provides turndown service for guests
- Find opportunities to personalize the service experience for each guest
- Clean and self-inspects guestrooms as assigned by management and in accordance with hotel standards.
- Inspect all rooms (vacant or dirty) checking standards of cleanliness, missing guest amenities and/or supplies.
- Inspect all VIP and Special Attention rooms very carefully ensuring that all special requests and amenities are completed.
- Receive and complete all guest requests when on the floors, i.e. extra pillow, blankets.
- To keep linen rooms, tidy, correctly stocked and closed at all times when not in use. Must ensure working equipment is always clean, tidy and in good working order.
- Ensure all guest rooms and amenities have been properly cleaned, dusted, sanitized, and supplied on a daily basis, according to Four Seasons standards of service. They must be comfortable making a bed and vacuuming, as well as being able to lift and carry 15-20 pounds on a regular basis. Shifts will also include turndown service, where the guests are lightly refreshed for the evening.
- The Guestroom Attendant is also responsible for properly handling “Do Not Disturb” and Guest requests as well as any call backs.
- Clean dusts, make beds and sanitizes all areas of the Guest Room (bedroom, living room, dining room and bathroom) according to procedure and standards. Vacuums carpet and cleans marble and tile areas.
- Remove dirty towels and sheets and replaces them with clean ones from the Linen Closet.
- Coordinate with the Room Service team the removal of room service trays from guestrooms.
- Restock used amenities such as shampoo, lotions, cotton balls, stationery and pens.
- Be familiar with the daily Room Occupancy Forecast, guest names and estimated time of arrival in order to organize the section before check-in.
- Inform the Maintenance team and Housekeeping Supervisor regarding any maintenance job needed as soon as you discover the issue.
- Perform turndown service providing a comfortable evening environment in Guest Rooms. Clean and refresh the room in the early evening and prepare the room for the guest to sleep in.
- Respond to guests’ requests according to Four Seasons standards of friendliness and professionalism. Inform the Supervisor or Management Team any complaint or matter.
- Attend daily briefing from supervisor or management.
- Assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of public areas, back of the house, Spa and Laundry.
- Support with any other tasks within the division and/or any tasks assigned to by the management team.
- Flexibility in working different shifts including holidays.
